Racing Women Completes 2026 Javelin Sprint Season at Oulton Park

Racing Women returned to the track on 23–24 October for the final round of the 2026 Javelin Trackdays Sprint Series at Oulton Park Circuit in Cheshire, bringing another season of sprint racing experiences to a close.
With four drivers and two cars taking part across the weekend, the event brought together returning Racing Women participants and newcomers experiencing their first track event with the team.
A Final Sprint Weekend at Oulton Park
The seventh and final round of the Javelin Sprint Series took place on Oulton Park's 2.4-mile International Circuit, with the Racing Women programme including Friday's preparation and testing ahead of Saturday's timed competition.
The weekend brought a proper taste of British autumn weather, adding another consideration for drivers preparing to tackle one of the UK's most recognisable racing circuits.
For those returning to Racing Women, Oulton Park offered another opportunity to build on their previous track experience and continue developing their driving skills in a competitive environment.
For the newcomers, it was an introduction to the Racing Women team, the circuit and the Javelin Sprint format.
Developing Confidence Through Sprint Racing
The Racing Women Sprint Race Experience is designed to give drivers practical experience of competitive motorsport, combining preparation, professional coaching and timed driving.
Unlike traditional wheel-to-wheel racing, sprint competition challenges drivers to achieve their best individual lap time, with an emphasis on consistency, precision and improving performance.
The format offers an accessible opportunity for drivers looking to take their first steps into motorsport competition, while also providing experienced participants with another environment in which to develop their skills.
Throughout the 2026 season, Racing Women has supported drivers at Javelin Sprint events across the UK, helping more women experience competitive driving and build confidence on track.
A Special Mention for Zoe Pope
Among the drivers at Oulton Park was Zoe Pope, a Racing Women Talent Management Programme driver, who competed in her own Mazda.
Her participation was another example of the different ways Racing Women drivers can continue building their racing experience, including competing in their own cars.

"Having not driven this car for over a year, I had to familiarise myself with the car, the conditions and the track layout in just one sighting lap — an achievement in itself!
The whole track felt like a skidpad, especially on regular cold tyres and standard suspension, but it was a fantastic learning experience."
— Zoe Pope, Racing Women Talent Management Programme Driver
Winning trophies wasn't the best thing I took home that day. It was the knowledge I gained about new racing lines in extremely challenging conditions, and a true test of my skills.
Looking Ahead: A Racing Women Cup Trophy in 2027?
With the 2026 Javelin Sprint season complete, Racing Women is already looking ahead to potential opportunities for next year.
One possibility currently under consideration is the introduction of a dedicated Racing Women Cup Trophy within the Javelin Sprint Series for drivers committing to a full season.
The proposed trophy would add another competitive objective for Racing Women participants, recognising their commitment to competing across multiple rounds and encouraging continued development throughout the season.
Further details will be shared if plans for the 2027 Racing Women Cup Trophy are confirmed.
